Path of the Abyss is this super cool first-person dungeon crawler where everything looks like it was drawn in pen — black and white, kinda sketchbook-style, and really unique. You create your own character build your party and dive into some wild dungeons full of secrets loot and creepy monsters. Your goal? Keep going deeper and deeper until you hit the bottom… or something gets you first.
The combat’s real-time, but you can pause whenever to plan your moves — which is sick. You see what the enemies are about to do, so you gotta react smart with buffs, counters, and attacks. There’s this Formation Panel system with 9 slots where you pre-load your team’s skills, and that layout totally changes how battles go. There’s a ton of ways to build your character too. You get to mess with stats, abilities, skills, and gear to make someone who fits your playstyle. And then you build out your whole party based on how their skills work together. Some combos just click, and figuring that out is part of the fun.
The story takes place in this creepy ruin that’s been looted over and over but now terrifying monsters have started showing up. People went in to prove how tough they were and just… never came back.
